Teaching mainly Hispanic children from 1996 - 2001, I realized that, although things have improved for minorities, we still have a way to go.Say NO to NCLB!My books are not THE answer, because there isNO single answer. However, they show what worked and still is working for me and proves that when teachers are given the autonomy to be creative that they can find solutions to meet the unique needs of their classes and of individual children. The constricting laws, rules, and policies IMPOSED by the NCLB definitely are not THE answer! |
